I am a transplanted Arkansan, living in North Alabama. I have been carving off and on for about 20+ years. I mainly carve faces in driftwood and Cottonwood bark. I also like to carve Santa ornaments, Greenmen, Woodspirits, Native Americans, Mountain Men.
I am mostly self- taught, with the exception of attending seminars taught by Jeff Phares and Jim Wright. I have been concentrating on faces for about four years and still have a ways to go.
I am currently working on carving tutorial videos, that I will post here and on my YouTube channel: 3Crosses Woodcarving
The Idea of this Blogsite is to help carvers cut the time it takes to learn how to carve. When I started out carving, I learned the hard way and it was very time intensive. By viewing the tutorials and other information that I will post here, and on YouTube and have available for sale, I hope to help you cut the learning curve by years.
I want this blog-site to be a place where carvers can come and be interactive. I want feedback from viewers about what they would like to see on this site. I will be adding articles and various content as I go along.
